Karranii reached the night elf village after a long wandering trek through the forest. Young and naturally curious, she could not help investigate all the new sights along the way. "Amazing" she kept muttering to herself with each discovery.
The inn seemed extremely busy for this time of day. She recognized some of the patrons and marched up to a table where a night elf and dwarf sat. Using a precise military salute, she barked "Hail, Captain Moonstone, I await your orders." Then, she relaxed and sat down at one of the few remaining seats in the room.

"Ah, just what I needed!"
Says Gillidas as he stands from harvesting a peacebloom from the earth. Quickly he puts the flower in his pouch, and begans to look at what he has gather thus-far.
Gillidas mutters,"All I need now is a silverle.....?" His thoughts stop suddenly as a raven catches his eye. The Raven flies over to a small bush and lands, as Gillidas moves slowly not to startle him. The raven watches as Gillidas walks over to him and speaks Darnassian. The bird beats his wings and ruffles his feathers expecting Gillidas to understand his motive.
Gillidas asks,"Why are you here, you are not from the Darkshore?" as he kneels down to face the raven eye to eye. Again the bird beats his wings and ruffles his feathers, but this time Gillidas realizes the intent of the raven.
"Ah, I understand." he says "I will leave with haste to Asilinaar, fly safe and farewell."
The raven stops the flutter as if he understands the druids words, and takes flight through the dark trees of Darkshore. Gillidas stands and watches the raven leave, then checks his pouch for the trip a head.
As he is about to leave for Asilinaar,he looks again at the bush in front of him,"Huh...a silverleaf bush."

As Maryla moved to the table where the Archwarden and several other members of the Veridian Shield sat, she noticed more of her guildmates arriving, including, all at once, Casteldra, Lander, and Durad. They too headed toward the main congestion of the room, and Maryla spoke first.
'You summoned us Archwarden?'
Before she could be answered, Arday entered, followed by a curious-looking Ghurtag, the latter of whom's appearance triggered looks of readiness to action in a number of clients.
Arday, looking quizzical, said 'This Orc seems to belong here by some method. He is an integral part of the community.'
Ghurtag nodded in a manner meant to be reassuring.
As the clamour continued to rise, there was the sound of yet another portal outside, and this time Adana stepped out, having received help from a close Gnome mage friend of hers from her days in Gnomeregan, who'd sent her here after a wandering druid translated the raven's intent (the same druid who'd just hours earlier had translated Thorek's raven's message). She then walked in as well.
A local Night Elf couple at a booth in the corner began fervently discussing what this large gathering of outsiders could mean...

Ularitharion inclined his head at the new arrivals. More had answered his summons than he had expected - it was good, but would it be enough?
"I guess I'd better explain, then," he said somberly, pushing the now-empty platter to one side. "I've just been near the border with Felwood. Something has caused the beasts there to become horrifically mutated, destroying their connection to the natural world and making them become murderous and insane. I spent three days and nights destroying them and attempting to cure the damage - but whatever caused this escaped." He paused, allowing all of this to sink in. Images flashed before his eyes of the corrupted bears that he and Sherazhina had destroyed, and of before that, seventy hours without pause of battle against monstrosities that should never have been created.
"There was rumour of a weapon created by the Burning Legion," he rasped, "during the Third War. A weapon that would attack the Kaldorei through their closest alliance, the natural world, by corrupting it to madness. The Cenarion Circle learnt of this weapon's existance and attacked the demons that were creating it, destroying them, and it. But I'm afraid now that it survived, or that someone has built it again. We have to find it and destroy it once and for all."

Mantarayce began to pray to the Naaru silently as what Ularitharion said sank in
Silvanosheii stared at Ularitharion with a look of complete horror on his face as he realized what could happen to the world if this wsant stopped
Rasitlinm stared at Ularitharion blankly as he thought about all that he had seen in his life. "To create such a weapon would require such energy as even the strongest of mages could not generate on there own. How do they get the energy for this weapon?"

Ularitharion's golden-orbed gaze settled upon Raistlinm. "I don't know," he admitted.

Thorek wiped the ale from his lips before speaking his mind. "I's obvious, isn' i'? Life energies. Probably demon life energies too... Tha kind o' life energy is corrupt already." My guess is tha' either there is a cul' of some sor' tha committed mass suicide ta create i', or we go' someone or a group o' murderers."

Rasitlinm looked at the dwarf, "murder can not keep the life energy of a person, but perhaps you are right and warlocks are involved somehow......until we know the source fo this weapon we can not know its powers......or its weaknesses. We must find this weapon and destroy it. Where do we begin our search ArchWarden Ularitharion?" Raistlinm looked at Ular steadily meeting his golden-orbed gaze with his own hour-glass eyes

"Again, I have no idea," the druid said. "Any chance I might have had of finding the thing from the scene of the crime have gone."

The slight tap of footsteps creep into the room from the front door. Bella looks up at who she figures must be Ularitharion. Being so new to the Veridan Shield, she has not formally met anyone yet. Bella bows down respectfully "I'm sorry I'm late, it would seem being so new that your messenger got slightly lost finding me" A smile appearing across her face "I am Issabela Saira, This *signals over to her cat standing beside her* is my companion Weehawk, and I take it you must be Ulaitharion. It is a pleasure to finally meet you, I just wish it was under better circumstances..."

"Blessings of Cenarius, Lady Issabela," Ularitharion murmured formally, bowing. He swiftly related the pertinant facts to her from before when she arrived, and hoped that she'd have some clue as to how to find this cursed thing...

A look of grave sadness creeps across Bella's face. "Aye, I have also run across one of these poor creatures, a wolf, or used to be a wolf. I was in Felwood aiding a friend when we were attacked by one. I found it very suprising that out of no where completely unprovoked it attacked us both. I remember looking over my shoulder when I heard something moving by a bush and saw it lunging for me teeth bared and it's eyes...its eyes are what caught me, they were white and glassed over, it's as if someone has trapped its soul and is not letting it finally rest. Weehawk here took the entire brunt of the first blow. I made it quick and swift to end this poor things suffering." Bella reaches down and scratches Weehawk behind his ears as he starts to purr. " I also remember the horrible smell as if a hunk of meat had been left outside to rot." Bella shakes her head looking down "I don't understand who would want to do this..." Bella looks up at Ularitharion "I do have one idea, what if I was to try and tame one of these creatures and bring it back to study, could that possibly work to give us a better idea of what's going on?" Bella looks around at everyone else seeing if anyone may agree or disagree with her idea.

Raistlinm looked at bella with his hour-glass eyes "if you could tame one or at least capture it it may help but i am no druid and know little of the ways of animals.....Ularitharion? Silvanosheii? what do you think?"

Silvanosheii quickly responded before ularitharion had time to speak, "i do not yet know enough of nature and its ways to know for sure, but i think that maybe if we knew some more about these creatures we would be better prepared to encounter them......."

The inn's few non-guilded patrons suddenly fell silent as Shera, bruised and bloodied, entered the common area. She was accompanied by Vigo, her young ravager companion, and a great black lion that seemed to almost strut with his own self-importance. She gazed across the assembly, her expression weary but her eyes filled with rage.
She moved to the nearest table and heaved a foul smelling bag onto it. The bag contained the rotting remains of the head of the creature she had battled not one hour ago. Without a word she turned and headed back out the door.
Vigo and the great cat remained behind.

Ularitharion suddenly groaned and clutched his head. His eyes flinched, blinking at the sudden, unexpected pain.
He opened his mouth to remark on the strangeness of this, when the door to the inn opened, just before Sherazhina could reach it. Dalithien, the innkeeper, stood there, her face pale with fright. Her mouth opened, but the words she was about to speak were swallowed by a scream that burst from her lungs, as a blade burst forth between her breasts, streaked with her crimson blood. Ularitharion found himself standing instantly, his staff flying into his hand, as the blade withdrew, and the kaldorei woman toppled, her body landing gracelessly to leak the last of its lifeblood upon the wooden floors. Her slayer burst into the room without a word - for its voice box was missing, and the undead human would never utter another sound. But its entrance was heralded by noise. The beautiful glass windows that channelled the light into the room shattered simultaneously, and the undead poured in to the inn...
((Who are they? I have no clue. But something had to happen to liven things up...))

Thorek quickly consecrated the area, attempting to make sure that they wouldn't get near the Viridian shield. He kept his hammer of justice up in case the consecration failed. keeping an eye on the undeads, Thorek began to rummage through his bag. "Where'd I pu' i'..." he muttered.

Raistlinm qucikly scanned the room with his hourglass eyes, noting each undead as it entered and preparing a series of spells to destroy them in turn, waiting for the word from ularitharion to attack, he grabbed his staff, and waited the words of magic perched on his tongue

silvanosheii flying to his feet almost as qucik as Ular, grabbed his staff and looked around nervously, as he had never encountered these things before and he knew not what to do with them, thinking quickly he decided that a bear would be more help than his staff and he focuses on changeing himself into a bear while thoreks concecration held

Sherazhina was outside standing over the body when the attack occurred. She felt rage grip her, and despite her best efforts could not get control of it. She drew her serpent blades and proceeded toward the door - the hunt was on her now.
Inside, Vigo chattered excitedly, gnashing his teeth and slashing the air with his large fore-claws. A simple creature, and young at that, he wasn't sure how to react to the sudden excitement, and so did the only thing that his instincts would allow - kept the entire assembly in front of him, preparing to attack anyone that made him more nervous...
The great cat moved behind the assembled Viridian Shield, yawned, and stretched lazily. It regarded both factions with indifference, and cast almost condescending glances at the chattering ravager.
As Sherazhina approached the door a chill ran up her spine. In normal times, when she had some control, this would be an indicator to her that something was very wrong. But times were no longer normal. The battles had become constant. Junk had been poisoned and now lay dead in a carefully wrapped bundle behind her. And she had ceased to think rationally - culling the threat was the only thing left on her mind.

The blood elf sat in a tree just outside of the village. If it can be called that, he thought to himself. A village denoted civilization, and he wasn't sure he was prepared to give the night elves that much credit yet.
Forsaken. How he loved them, or rather to take advantage of and use them. Simple creatures... creatures that may have had a chance at redemption in the eyes of the humans if they hadn't so blindly followed that... thing... that sat enthroned in Undercity. But as it stood, they preferred blind obedience to rational thought, a trait that served the blood elf assassin just fine. A little rhetoric about betrayal by the "breathing ones" (appeals to Horde loyalty seemed to fall on deaf ears with these beasts) and a direction, and they moved off with all the zeal of a gnomish clockwork toy.
With a good portion of the night elf's guild assembled, this proved a prime opportunity to probe. He had tested the skills of the golden-eyed druid and blue-horned hunter, but this would be his first opportunity to see humans and dwarves in action. He relished it, these few seconds when battle was imminent but had not yet begun. He felt a thrill, knowing that someone would die today and that the death would be by his doing.
Living or already dead, Anthraxis thought. I guess it doesn't really matter...

Instinctively, Karranii flew into her defensive stance, shield in front, battle hammer raised to crush any approaching foe. Her mind raced through the undead training she recieved on the Exodar. "Smash the knee caps, then the skull" was all she could recall. This would be her first battle with real undead.
